A: The entire lift does not swivel on any of the bath lifts, including the Bathmaster Deltis. The swivel transfer seat works like a lazy susan on a track. The swivel seat sits on the top of the bath lift seat and is held down by the individuals weight. As the individual rotates from the edge of the tub, the seat will rotate under the individual. As the individual moves into the center of the bath lift, the seat will slide along the track into the center of the seat.

Caregivers find the swivel transfer seat to be invaluable when they assist their patients into the bath lift.

Since the back of the bath lift remains in it's fixed position and does not swivel , individuals with decreased trunk strength or trunk control should seek an analysis by a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist to determine if the Bath lift with swivel transfer seat is a suitable aid for bathing.

A: There is not enough information based on the measurements you provided to make a proper assessment. If the bath tub is 31" wide at the top and oval in shape the transfer flap on the exit /entry side of the tub will not rest properly on the edge of the tub to aid the user to utilize the transfer flap. It would be best if you could send us a message and attach photo's of the bath tub and we would be able to properly advise you from there, prior to purchase. Depth of the inside of the bath tub at the center

Length of the floor of the bath tub

Total Width of the bath tub (outside to outside)

Is there any texture on the floor of the bath tub?

Weight of the individual that will be using the bath lift

Does the individual have difficulty moving along a bench while seated?

Is the individual user able to stand up without assistance from a dining room chair?
